At the beginning of the 101 Days of Christmas series, I shared one of my favorite homemade treats — chocolate covered pretzels and chips. Really, how can you go wrong with chocolate-covered anything? (Although I draw the line at things that move!)

Here are 9 creative chocolate-covered treats to add to your last-minute holiday baking list. These make great gifts for neighbors, friends or family get-togethers, but be sure to save some for yourself as well!

Of all of these recipes, this was the most unexpected and the one I’m most anxious to try. The only problem is I’m afraid I might eat the whole batch. In one sitting. Tessa from Handle the Heat describes the texture this way: “The contrasting textures are the very best part of this recipe. The graham cracker crust is buttery yet crunchy, the cheesecake is lusciously rich and the chocolate coating is smooth with a snap.” Simply divine!

I’ve never thought of chocolate-covered bananas as a treat worth giving or serving at a party, but these frozen banana bites are so pretty that I really think they’d make a great platter at a holiday party or a fun hostess gift (just as long as you don’t live too far from your hosts!).

These chocolate-covered cornflakes are probably delicious all by themselves, but I think it’d be really fun to mix in some holiday M&Ms or other candies for a crunchy sweet treat that’s sure to get people’s attention!

I set out in search of a chocolate-covered marshmallow recipe, but this isn’t just any chocolate-covered marshmallow recipe. These are dipped and then rolled in crushed candy canes for a chocolate-peppermint flavor that is sure to be a hit!

Mmm, chocolate-covered strawberries, how I love thee! The truth is I’ve always had a thing for chocolate-covered strawberries, and I’ve dragged Sean to the Ocean City, Maryland Boardwalk many times in the 12 years we’ve been together just for this sweet treat! They’re easy enough to make at home and make a great gift or dessert.

I’ll be honest that I’m having a little bit of trouble wrapping my head around this flavor combination, but Lynn promises that these chocolate-covered craisins are amazing and addictive. I like craisins and I like chocolate, so I may just need to give this recipe a try!

I’ve had bacon-flavored chocolate before, and I was honestly a little disappointed because it sounded like such a great combination to me beforehand. The problem may have been that there was simply not enough bacon in the chocolate, and I think I need to give it a second chance with this chocolate-covered bacon recipe!

These chocolate-covered apricots (with the sadly ignored almond on top!) would make a great gift packaged in a box or tin, don’t you think? They’re simple and elegant, the perfect kind of special treat for the holidays!

It may be a little late to make these for this Christmas considering they’re supposed to be refrigerated for 1-2 weeks (yes, you read that right) before serving, but they are such impressive looking treats that I couldn’t not include them. Forget the cheap boxed variety, make your own chocolate-covered cherries for an extra special gift!
