2011 Holiday Gift Guide: Stocking Stuffers

2011 Holiday Gift Guide: Stocking Stuffers

I love picking out stocking stuffers for my girls and husband! It’s so fun to pick up a variety of items that I know they’ll love — from candy to art supplies to a DVD and of course their annual ornaments.

It’s hard to condense stocking stuffers ideas for everyone in the family into just 9 ideas, but here are some of my favorite stocking stuffers for kids and adults!

Confession: I really, really love Sing-a-Ma-Jigs. I think they’re hysterical, and last Christmas my sister and I spent an embarrassing amount of time playing with the ones the girls got. Since I also happen to love everything Disney, I’m pretty excited about these Mickey & Minnie Sing-a-Ma-Jigs. Aren’t they adorable?

I love all of the Children Inspire journals, and I’m excited for our 5 year old — who is definitely the most artistic member of our family — to find the “I Am an Artist” journal in her stocking on Christmas morning. Other journal themes include “You Can Fly”, “Dream Big”, “A Place for Dreams” and “I Love You”!

Surprise your little ones by making these adorable Pocket Pixies for their stockings. Whimsical and tiny enough to hide in a pocket, these cute little dolls can be customized in any color your heart desires!

We’ve bought off-brand versions of these fun wax sticks before and been disappointed, but this year a friend convinced me that we were missing out by not trying the real things, so our girls will be getting WikkiStix in their stockings. Our Christmas morning tradition includes opening stockings and then eating breakfast before getting to the rest of the presents, so I try to include something crafty each year that the kids can play with while breakfast cooks!

This Partridge in a Pear Tree Salt & Pepper Shaker Set would be a fun addition to a stocking. They’re so unique and festive!

I would love to find a Head Massager in my stocking on Christmas morning, and you could add a set of “head massage” coupons for a fun gift as well!

Each year Starbucks releases an annual holiday ornament featuring that year’s red cup design. This is a fun gift for the Starbucks lover on your list and one they’ll enjoy year after year as they decorate the tree!

Add Rory’s Story Cubes to a stocking for a game that can be played individually or by the whole family, at home or on the go. The 9 story cubes serve as a story generator for hours of creative fun!

How about a pair of extra earphones that can be kept in the car or your backpack? These Panasonic Earbud Headphones are affordable with great reviews, and they come in a variety of colors (not just pink!).
