The hunting season is approaching, and many people are gearing up for their hunting trips. If you are new to hunting, it can be hard to know what gear you need for your trip. To help make the process easier, here’s a list of four pieces of hunting gear that you might not have known existed!

A hunting vehicle

When you’re in the woods, you should consider your transportation options, so hunting vehicles are essential hunting gear. Cars and trucks, motorcycles, ATVs, snowmobiles – all can be used for hunting in one way or another.

Consider your terrain and think about if you will have to go off of a road or if it will be steep. Think about other obstacles like trees and water crossing. A four-wheel-drive vehicle is not always the best choice because if you’re hunting on hillsides, then getting good traction may become an issue with extra weight up front. A bike is a good hunting vehicle if you can’t afford a bigger car or use your snowmobile customized with snowmobile decal kits to camouflage with nature, making it easier for you to get closer to the prey. Furthermore, a motorcycle is not the best choice because of its lack of stability.

One thing that is often overlooked in these situations is the fact that loud noises spook the animals driving them away from your spot, meaning you’ll often go home empty-handed. Well, e-bikes are the answer to your trouble because they do not make remotely as much noise as other vehicles you might have considered. If you get a Rambo electric hunting bike, you’ll surely have a much more productive hunt. You’ll get around easier, and you will not scare away any potential prey.

This way of hunting can be very rewarding. If you’re hunting in a place where there are many trees and plants, then an e-bike may make sense for you because of how easy it will get up hillsides or over obstacles blocking your way.

A pack of camouflage face paint

Bringing face paint with you hunting is essential. You’ll be hunting in different terrains and seasons, so be prepared with a pack of camouflage face paint that will help you blend into your surroundings. The most popular color of hunting face paint is green because it matches all the greens found in nature (grass, leaves).

There are many uses for hunting face paints beyond just using them while hunting. For example, you can also use them as war paint when playing games or scouting out the terrain before going hunting. There are also hunting face paint kits that come in a variety of colors, and they’re good for beginners or if you just want to experiment.

Apply hunting face paint with a hunting towel, which are terry cloth towels that have been designed to help absorb moisture. You can also use your hunting jacket or any other large piece of material you may have on hand in order to protect the hunting gear from getting dirty while applying the hunting face paint.

A good pair of binoculars

It may not seem that way, but binoculars are one of the most important hunting gear. Hunting binoculars are specially designed for that purpose because they can help you spot your prey better and easier than hunting with just a rifle or shotgun alone. Plus, when it’s paired with the best rated hunting spotlights, night-time hunting will be a lot easier.

Picking out binoculars is fairly simple, as long as you know what to look for in them. You want something that will fit comfortably on your face without being so bulky it interferes with anything else (you might have to carry these around all day).

The magnification power gives you an idea of how powerful the lenses inside are going to be. The higher this goes, the more light gets into each lens and thus less side glare from sunlight, but it also means there’s more depth distortion at a distance. Lens coating helps reduce glare from the sun and other hunting lights. It also reduces fogging of lenses in cold weather (which is actually a problem).

A roll of duct tape

You’d be surprised how many uses can be found for duct tape. It’s not just a hunting supply; it can be used to fix gear, make emergency repairs on clothes and tents, repair broken eyeglasses or knives, the list goes on! Always keep one in your hunting pack as an all-purpose tool of last resort.

Duct tape is also good for hunting because you can use it to mark your spot if you need to leave the woods with someone else, but no matter what kind of outdoorsman you are, the tape will come in handy at some point.

In addition, when hunting deer or other big game animals that require tracking (or hunting), duct tape is very useful for marking blood trails that would otherwise get washed away or otherwise disappear.

Here is a list of uses of duct tape:

  • hunting gear, clothes, and tents
  • repair
  • marking your spot
  • blood trails

That’s it! You now have everything you need to go hunting. Remember, always be mindful of your surroundings and make sure to stay safe when out in the wilderness. A vehicle can up your game a lot, while camouflaging, binoculars, and duct tape are essentials that you may not have known about. Don’t forget to dress for the weather including a warm coat. Happy Hunting!
