Arm & Hammer Baking Soda for Outdoor Cleaning

Can I be honest?

As much as we use baking soda around our house for cleaning, the thought of using it for outdoor cleaning — to clean up grease stains in the garage or on the deck, clean the grill and patio furniture, etc. — never occurred to me!

However, this month’s Switch & Save Challenge is to use Arm & Hammer Baking Soda for large outdoor cleaning projects, and my first thought was of our poor, neglected grill.

We don’t grill very often — although we do it a little more each summer, and we make amazing grilled shrimp kebabs — so the grill I received for my birthday four years ago sadly sits unused a lot of the time.

Unfortunately, the cheap cover we’d purchased for it didn’t last long in our high winds, and so it not only sits…but sits uncovered.

That’s why it looks like it does.

This month, we’ll be putting Arm & Hammer Baking Soda to the test to see if we can get it cleaned up and shiny looking. If we can, you can bet we’ll be investing in a good-quality cover to keep it looking that way!
