101 Days of Christmas: Candy Cane Reindeer

Easy Candy Cane Reindeer

This is an oldie but a goody that I figured was worth reposting because it’s such a fun and simple project to do with the kids!

These easy candy cane reindeer can be added to gifts, handed out at school parties and family get-togethers or incorporated into your holiday decor. You probably have most of these supplies on hand (I even have candy canes left from last year that still taste perfectly fresh!), and even if you don’t, purchase a new pack of pompoms or pipe cleaners and save those you don’t use to make this project an annual tradition.

  • candy canes
  • brown pipe cleaners, cut in half
  • small googly eyes
  • red pompoms

Wrap half of a pipe cleaner around the top of the candy cane, twisting tightly to keep it in place, and then form antler shapes with the ends.

Glue googly eyes onto the candy cane (or better yet, use self-adhesive googly eyes!).

Add a generous amount of glue to the end of the candy cane and glue the pompom in place.
