Consistently March Toward Success

The following post is from Jeff of My Super-Charged Life: Consistently March Toward Success

Are you achieving what you want?

Millions of people trudge through life without feeling successful or fulfilled.  They are living lives well below their potential.

Is this you?

Don’t let another day go by without stepping out toward a better life.  You can have a lot more of what you want.  All you have to do is consistently take action to get it.

Define the Mission and March Toward It

A few years back, the U.S. Army had a recruiting slogan of “Army of One”.  I think the idea was that if you joined, they’d make you strong, capable and virtually invincible.  This is a self-image that appeals to many.

You need to adopt this same confident self-image for yourself.  You need to become an “Army of One”.

Define the mission for yourself by deciding what you want above all else and then set out to conquer it like the military claims a hill.  Go to battle for the life you want.

How do you do this?

You consistently take one little step after another toward it.

Consistent Marching Leads to Success

You will never get anywhere if you don’t start. You don’t have to take a huge leap.  You just need to take one little, tiny step.  It can be the smallest of the small.

You might ask, “What will this accomplish?”

It will get you going.  It will give you confidence.  It will get you off high center.

Once you are going, you just need to consistently keep marching forward.  Let me amplify the word consistently for you.  What do I mean when I say consistently?  I mean:

  • Repeatedly
  • Constantly
  • Systematically
  • Dependably
  • Steadily
  • Regularly
  • Persistently
  • Expectedly
  • Invariably

Get the picture?  You become an “Army of One” that will not stop taking the next tiny step forward. You march without being deterred toward your objective.  Relentlessly.

If you do this, one day, you will look up and realize, “Hey, I’m successful.”  You will have accomplished a great deal of the vision you held for your life.  It works.  You just have to do it.

Let’s Review What It Takes to Succeed

Quickly, before I’m done here today, let me review with you the steps you need to take to be successful:

1. Decide what success looks like for you – You have to know your objective.

2. Control the theater in your mind – Don’t let fear and doubt defeat you.

3. Believe in yourself and act boldly – Start consistently marching.

If you want more success in your life, then you need to do this.

What do you think about this?  Will you become an “Army of One”?
