It’s that time of week – time to evaluate your needs, your preferences and your lifestyle to figure out a laundry system that works for you!

Here are some questions to get you started.

Considering Your Family

How many people live in your home? How many loads of laundry do you do in an average week? Do you have a lot of clothes that needs to be ironed?

Your Schedule

Do you work outside of the home? Are you a homebody or always on the go? Do you spend every evening shuttling kids to different activities? Are your weekends busy or laid back?

The Layout of Your House

Where is your laundry room? Is it convenient? Do you like your laundry room, or is it a room you dread? Does running the washer or dryer wake up your kids? Where are the bedrooms in relation to the laundry room?

Division of Labor

Who does the laundry in your house? Are you responsible for sorting, washing, drying, folding and putting it away, or do other members of your family help? Are your kids old enough to do their own laundry or to help out?

Keep your answers to these questions in mind this week as we look at different methods for getting on top of the laundry – figuring out what works best for you is one of the keys to building succesful habits and getting organized!
