The Christmas season is all about giving, and this gift is sure to please. Pamper a friend, your child’s favorite teacher, or anyone special in your life with a calming and delicious-smelling peppermint scrub.

Super simple to make, this scrub can be used on the hands, feet or body. If you have extra time, you can also experiment with different combinations of oils and fragrances.

Ingredients:

  • large baby food jar
  • 1  1/2 cup fine sea salt
  • 1/2 cup baby oil
  • 1/2 cup jojoba oil
  • 15-20 drops peppermint oil

Directions:

Pour 1 cup of salt into a small bowl, then stir in baby oil and jojoba oil until the mixture is a slushie-type consistency.

If there’s too much liquid, gradually add more salt until you reach the desired consistency.

Next, add in the peppermint oil. Continue to stir all ingredients together until thoroughly combined.

Pour scrub into empty baby food jar.

Decorate with pretty ribbon and a  tag. And, your gift is ready to give.

Please note, it’s normal for the ingredients to settle in between uses. Stir with a spoon to remix. To use, place a teaspoon of scrub in palm of hand and rub over both hands for about 30 seconds. Rinse with water, then pat dry.
