Pulse News Apps for iOS and Android Devices

When I first got my Kindle Fire, I was excited to discover the Pulse News app, which comes pre-loaded on all Fires.

Pulse is a news reading app available for iOS and Android devices that allows you to see multiple news sources, blogs and social networks in one place with a beautifully laid out interface.

With Pulse, I’m able to see my very favorite blogs and my favorite news sources is an easy-to-skim format that makes it easy to see what’s happening in the world and to discover new things!

Pulse also lets you share posts with your favorite social networks, email them to yourself or someone else or save them for later.

Using Pulse

Pulse allows you to set up five categories of news sources — for example, Home, Fashion, Fun, Entertain and Business or Home, Art, Tech, Fun, Sport — with multiple sources listed below each category. Within each news source, you can see 3-5 stories at a time so that you can quickly glance through and then click on any that catch your attention to see the full post or article.

I have four categories set up right now:

  • Home, with my favorites blogs and sites (including Life Your Way!)
  • News, with a variety of news sources (both old and new media)
  • Tech, with tech news, tips and tutorials
  • Election, with a variety of political feeds

My fifth category comes and goes. I’ve had Mobile news/tips and Design/Art set up there, but I end up ignoring them most of the time, so for now I’m just leaving it empty.

Adding Life Your Way to Your Pulse News

I was excited to have Life Your Way added to the catalog of sites available on Pulse a couple of months ag0 since I was already using the app myself (and I’ll admit I added it to my Home category!).

To add Life Your Way to your account, follow the steps outlined on the Pulse FAQ page. You’ll want to type Life Your Way into the search box and then click the + sign to add it to the appropriate category.

We’d be honored to be part of your daily reading!

What about you? What’s your favorite way to stay up to date on the news? Have you used Pulse?
