The timing of Earth Day this year — on Good Friday — is a little bit weird for me, so we probably won’t do much of anything to celebrate, but I do love the idea of setting aside a day to pick up litter, plant trees, etc. I really believe it’s the every day decisions we make to reduce the amount of trash we produce and chemicals we use that make the biggest difference, but just like birthdays are an extra special day to show someone we love them, I think Earth Day is a reminder to be intentional in our stewardship of the Earth.
So today I want to know…
Are you celebrating Earth Day this year?
Do you have any annual traditions, or do you just look for new, creative ideas each year?
Do you prefer an every-day-is-Earth-Day approach to sustainable living?
How do you introduce your kids to the idea of sustainability and stewardship?
Looking forward to reading your answers!
