We often get requests for a tutorial on the wooden tree that sits in the corner of our kitchen. Unfortunately, I have limited carpentry skills, and Sean doesn’t often follow — or write — tutorials, so we’ve never been able to put one together.
However, when I saw this wooden tabletop tree last year at Curbly, I knew we needed to try it for ourselves so we could share it with you.
This little tree is the perfect size for the top of your kitchen table, breakfast bar or piano. It’s inexpensive to make and folds flat when not in use. Decorate it with your favorite tiny ornaments — or make your own out of candy canes, cinnamon and applesauce, salt dough, or tiny cookie cutters — or use it for your Jesse Tree ornaments in December.
Sean was able to put this tree together in no time at all, and you could easily stain or paint the wood if you wanted a different color tree!
