Weekend Reading: August 27, 2011

date night

A couple weekends ago, my mom kept all four girls for the first time so that Sean and I could have 48 hours to ourselves. We did all the things we never get to do — like going to a movie together, eating dinner without sharing or being interrupted, driving in a car and just talking to each other. It’s been a while since we’ve had a kid-free weekend, and it was perfect. He’s been my best friend for more than 12 years now, and my husband for 9 years next month, and I not only love him more today than ever before, I really like him too!

Here are some of my favorite posts from around the blogosphere this week. As always, check out what I’m reading to see the other posts that make me stop and think. You’ll find new posts all week long!
