On Monday night, we spent several hours in the ER after our 3-year-old wiped out during a game of indoor tag, hitting her eye socket on the windowsill. Five stitches and a popsicle later, we arrived home exhausted but glad that it hadn’t been worse!
She’s always been the one to keep us on our toes, arriving via emergency c-section when we discovered she was footling breach while I was in labor, and she’s also the bravest of our girls, having endured quite a few blood draws during her bout with ITP when she was a toddler.
Today we head back to the ER to have the stitches removed, and I’m praying that it’s as easy and non-traumatic as Monday’s visit!
