Weekend Reading: February 26, 2010

happy birthday
our second daughter, almost 5 years old

Our second daughter turns five next week, and today we’re celebrating with pizza and ice cream with some of her friends. After two weeks with a nasty virus, we’re thankful to be feeling much better, and she is beyond excited for her first “friend” party. She’s been bouncing off the walls all week, which is especially fun to see because she’s our most reserved child in social settings!

In other fun news, we’re finalists in the Genesis Today Get It On with Cranberry Goji contest, and we could win $2000 toward a romantic getaway! Would you mind taking just a minute to vote? You don’t have to register or sign in or anything. Just click the 5 stars underneath the picture of hands in the shape of a heart!

Below are some of my favorite posts from the week. As always, check out what I’m reading to see the other posts that make me stop and think. You’ll find new posts all week long!
