Eleven years ago today, I married my favorite person in the world. Nine years ago this week, I became Mama when one very spunky little girl entered our lives.
This weekend brings an end to our three weeks of madness that is birthday season, and we spent the week celebrating our oldest daughter. She is truly one-of-a-kind — outgoing, full of random factoids, silly one minute, making connections between historical events and science facts and the latest book she’s devouring the next. She is amazingly comfortable in her own skin (a trait that I hope will help carry her through adolescence, which is feeling very close all of the sudden!), helpful and sweet (but only when she wants to be!), and mature and motivated (again…when she wants to be!).
Here are some of my favorite posts from this week. As always, check out what I’m reading and what I’m pinning to see the other posts that make me stop and think (or, you know, drool…). You’ll find new posts all week long!

And our family has slipped some in this area recently, but this post from Tsh has convinced me to refocus and reprioritize fair-trade chocolate once again. Hard topic as we head into a month full of chocolate and treats but definitely worth the read!
Have a great weekend!
