Weekend Reading: September 17, 2011

sisters

This weekend we are celebrating two birthdays in our family, as our youngest turns 2 and her partner in crime turns 4. I am so lucky to be both of these girls’ mama!

Yesterday we took the girls rollerskating for the first time, and it was so funny to see their personalities come out in the way they approached it. The 4 year old marched right onto the rink in her plastic Fisher Price skates and stomped her way around until she got the hang of it. The 5.5 year old clung to the wall for dear life until I convinced her that it was okay to fall and not to be afraid of falling. The baby was happy so long as I was pushing her around the rink in her stroller. And our oldest, who spent most of the two hours on her behind as she fell again and again and again, declared that she was so good at skating by the time we left! So fun!

Add to our celebrations the crisp fall air and a soccer game for our oldest, and it should be a good weekend all around!

Here are some of my favorite posts from around the blogosphere this week. As always, check out what I’m reading to see the other posts that make me stop and think. You’ll find new posts all week long!
