I’m excited to introduce a new series we’ll be doing at Life Your Way, called “Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow in the Life of…” Each week I’ll post an interview with someone as they share how their past has shaped who they are today as well as who they hope to be in the future. We’re starting with the Life Your Way contributors, but I’d love to include readers as well. If you’d like to participate, just send me an email at [email protected] and I’ll send you a questionnaire!
Today’s interview is with Myra of My Blessed Life and The Casabella Project:
1. Looking back on your childhood, what events do you think shaped who you are today?
Growing up on a farm with my family, grandparents, aunt, uncle and cousins impacted me immensely. Family is everything to me. My mom and dad are my heroes who love me and my family without conditions.
2. Were you always interested in decorating and design?
I’ve always loved decorating, design, crafting and entrepreneurship. From decorating my bedroom and rearranging furniture to drawing and studying floor plans, I’ve been destined to be an interior designer/home blogger since birth. 🙂
3. How would you describe yourself today?
I’m a project-driven, family-loving, work-at-home-mom.
4. What do you most love about your life?
I love that I can “have my cake and eat it too”. I’m blessed to be able to stay at home with our 2 year old while fulfilling my dream of decorating, writing, and remodeling. There’s nothing that could replace the joy I find in being with my family.
I’m living my dream!
5. What would other people be surprised to know about you?
I’m super paranoid about spiders, mold, and choking hazard.
6. Where do you see yourself in 5 years? 10 years?
Oh goodness, can we not go there please? Ha!
7. What legacy do you hope to leave behind?
I want to pass on the love of family that my grandparents and parents have passed on to me. I want my children to love God with everything they are.
