The hair plug you pull up might be a bit gross, but you can simply throw it away. However, if the plug is composed of more than just hair, or if it’s too far down to reach with the straightened coat hanger, then you may have to admit this method has failed as well.
At this point, you have a few other options. You might try a chemical drain cleaner. They don’t cost very much, so this could be your next go-to before moving on to calling a plumber.
