My 2022 Skincare Routine

Washing My Face Consistently

Every day, we are exposed to countless invisible contaminants in our daily routine. These harmful compounds are everywhere; watch a diesel truck leak dark emissions into the air, and you’ll get a sense of the kinds of unhealthy chemicals that your body is constantly bombarded by.

As is the case with many people, I wasn’t aware until recently that, in light of problematic environmental factors, it is absolutely integral to take care of the skin. Washing your face in the morning and exfoliating before bed is only a starting point; if you wear makeup, then you should double-cleanse at night in case the products stick to the skin and clog the pores.

This year, I’m going to be much more adamant about my skincare and will wash my face every day—no skipping allowed!

Facial Rejuvenation with Serums and Creams

Serums and creams are my secret skincare weapons and work absolute wonders on my face. They are also part of a broader beauty philosophy known as “facial rejuvenation,” which includes many different treatments that improve the appearance and functionality of the skin.

As effective as skincare routines can be, however, there is nothing that better revitalizes the face than a facelift. After becoming somewhat dissatisfied with the limitations of creams and other facial rejuvenation products, I booked an appointment with a plastic surgeon whose results were absolutely fantastic. I scheduled my surgery for this coming summer.

Something to keep in mind is that there is nothing wrong with getting outside help to look your best—there are so many tools at our disposal, and all of them are valid. I’m so glad that I finally realized how easy and rewarding it is to take control of the way I look!

Applying Sunscreen in Sunny Weather

The truth is that we don’t have to shy away from the sun to preserve our skin; in fact, it’s healthy for us and provides the body with a lot of vitamin D. The key is to be smart about exposure and to take the necessary precautions before stepping outside: wear a hat, put on a lot of sunscreens, and reapply protective products every few hours.

There are, of course, a number of negative factors associated with excessive sun exposure, including a higher risk of skin cancer and a leatherier appearance, but by settling into the right frame of mind—and tempering the amount of time you spend outside—you can protect yourself from most, if not all, of the associated dangers.

Spot Treatments to Fight Acne and Blemishes

I suffer from some unmanageable breakouts, and they usually happen at the most inconvenient times. To minimize the chance of experiencing another one, I’ve decided to use spot treatments to reduce redness, swelling, and other blemish-related problems.

At night, the body quickly repairs itself and combats the effects of daily wear, but you can further expedite this process with special spot treatments that target your particular problem areas. By the time you look in the mirror in the morning, some of your acne, if not all of it, will have cleared away. That is the magic of treating your skin right!

Using Vitamins for Skin Brightness

Incorporating vitamins, A and C into your daily routine, namely through fast-absorbing creams and moisturizers, is considered one of the most effective ways to treat dark circles. I’ve struggled with under-eye hollowness for many years, but in 2022, I am going to try out an array of new products and treat my skin with the kind of care that it has always deserved.

I also want to start taking vitamin supplements, as they support the growth of healthy nails, hair, and skin, and I aim to change my diet since food has a significant impact on appearance. If you eat a lot of greasy food, for example, you can expect to have a lot of breakouts; if you consume a lot of vegetables, on the other hand, you won’t be nearly as prone to blemishes. So, I’m going to eat as cleanly as possible and look absolutely amazing!
