Five Christmas Gifting Tips and Ideas

The holidays are just around the corner, so it is certainly not too soon to start thinking about what gifts you plan to give your loved ones. Giving yourself enough time to start planning ensures you won’t have to run around during the holidays buying gifts at the very last minute. If you need some help coming up with some ideas, keep reading. From Christmas gift baskets to aromatherapy shower steamers, here are five Christmas gifting tips and ideas for you to consider.

1. Baked Goods

Nothing is truly better than that first bite of a freshly baked apple pie or the smell of homemade cookies in a tin. That is why baked goods always make such a good gift idea! Not only are homemade baked goods a good idea, but they make cost-effective gifts that won’t break the budget. Best of all, you can make large batches and gift them to several people. If you are on a budget but still want to be able to give a Christmas gift to your friends, family, or even co-workers, consider stocking up on cookie dough and pie crust and get to baking!

2. Gift Baskets

Christmas gift baskets also make great gifts because they can be tailored to each individual person receiving them. If you know a wine lover, fill the basket with different bottles of wine, some cheese, fancy crackers, and even a few jams and dried fruits. This will surely be a welcome gift, especially for someone who likes to entertain at home. You can even include homemade goodies such as cookies, preserves, or handcrafted ornaments for your loved one to hang on their tree.

3. Aromatherapy Shower Steamers

If you know someone constantly working and never has a chance to take a break, consider gifting them aromatherapy shower steamers, which come in various scents. These make a great gift because they essentially allow that person to feel like they are at a spa even while just taking a shower. Aromatherapy shower steamers are also great when you’re not feeling great and need something to help clear up your sinuses. Whether you know a workaholic or someone constantly getting sick, aromatherapy shower steamers are the perfect gift.

4. Sound Machine

Although sound machines are typically associated with infants, they work great for grown-ups, too. A sound machine or sleep aid device has a metronome system that will encourage the troubled sleeper to doze off on their own. Some of these devices come complete with a built-in night light, while others even have a timer that prompts the sleeper to breathe in or out to help get them to sleep. This makes a great gift for anyone who suffers from insomnia or is simply looking for a way to get better sleep.

5. Robot Vacuums

Let’s face it—most people don’t have much free time to clean their homes, especially after a long day of working and caring for kids. Luckily, there’s a robot that can help. Robot vacuum cleaners have been around for some time now but have recently gotten a makeover and can not only clean floors but also play music and be controlled via an app. Even better, they are small enough that they won’t take up too much room in your supply closet. Best of all, they do all the work while you sit back and relax.
