Each year, almost 660,000 children are born around with world with significant hearing loss. In fact, hearing loss affects 15% of the world’s population and nearly half of these cases are preventable, yet it is rarely talked about. Helping prevent hearing loss altogether or providing the best hearing aids for those who need them are just a few ways to help those in need.

And while there are many interventions available here in the United States, many families in third world countries don’t have those options available to them.

That’s where the Hear the World Foundation comes in.

Since its creation in 2006, Hear the World has supported more than 50 projects across the globe to give children the chance of better hearing, proper development, and education.

One way they raise money is with an annual calendar featuring celebrities in the Hear the World pose, which has become synonymous with conscious hearing.

This year’s calendar—photographed by globally recognized musician and photographer, Bryan Adam—features Kate Moss, Tobey Maguire, and Joey Small, among other celebrities.

To help spread awareness—and enter to win a copy of this year’s calendar—take your own Hear the World photo and share it on your favorite social media network. Be sure to use the hashtag #HeartheWorld and come back and share the link in the comments below. (Note that some of the shared photos may be used in an educational video to be released by Hear the World!)

You can also purchase the calendar directly from the Hear the World Foundation, where 100% of the proceeds from your sale will go directly to the foundation.
