We’ve recently discovered the beauty of dry erase markers for family activities!
Before our trip to Disney, I traced a Mickey Mouse outline on the backdoor and wrote “Days Until” in one ear and “Disney” in the other. We then changed the number every day as we literally counted down the days until our trip. It was simple, easy to remember and convenient since our backdoor is right beside the kitchen table!
For November, I drew a tree trunk and branches where Mickey had been, and we began adding the things we were thankful for using orange, red and green markers. These thankful words became the leaves on our colorful fall tree.
For Christmas, we’ll be using the same concept to countdown the days in the cute little Christmas tree above. It’s frugal, clutter-free and fun for the whole family!
