We love Klutz crafts and games, but we were recently sent a copy of The Klutz Guide to the Galaxy, and it is definitely our new favorite!
Pat Murphy and the Scientists of Klutz Labs have put together a fun, engaging, interactive guide that gets you thinking, doing and exploring all things intergalactic:
Explore the universe without leaving the comfort of your backyard. When the scientists at Klutz Labs tackle outer space, we not only ask questions like “Where’s the Big Dipper” but also “If I lived on planet Mercury, am I already old enough to drive?” Use the included telescope, red light for night use, sundial, and astrolab to start exploring our great galaxy.
More than a book, this guide also includes a build-it-yourself telescope, night-sight flashlight, no-batteries-required sundial, star maps, steer by the stars quadrant and “lunatic wheel” for moon gazers. You’ll also find additional resources for exploring the sun, moon and planets at Klutz.com.
While this book would be fun to read anytime, it would also make an awesome unit study for the summer, whether you normally homeschool or not!
This week, three lucky Life Your Way readers will each win a copy of The Klutz Guide to the Galaxy!
To enter, tell me about the last time you went stargazing.
This giveaway ends at 11:59 p.m. ET on Friday, 5/20. The winner will be selected randomly and notified by email, and this post will be updated with their name as well!
