Question of the Day: How Do You Prepare for Illness?

I hope you’ll excuse that I’m rearranging the schedule this week and doing the question of the day on Monday, but as I rapidly approach my due date, we’re also battling the stomach flu at our house (it’s going to be funny one day, right?), and besides the fact that I’m not sure I have the energy to write a coherent, useful post today, it also has me thinking more about stocking up for illnesses, especially as we head into cold and flu season.

What do you do to prepare for illness striking your household?

Do you stock up on medicines? Electrolyte-drinks? Food?

What are the most important supplies you always keep on hand?

What do you always forget and have to run out and buy at the last minute?

Are you doing anything differently this year with the predictions of the H1N1 virus sweeping the country?

I need to get to work on our stockpile (although I did, thankfully, have Pedialyte stocked in my pantry), and I’m really interested to hear what’s in yours!
