I’m participating in The Switch & Save Challenge, trying a variety of Arm & Hammer products and sharing my experiences with you!
When I was first offered the opportunity to participate in The Switch & Save Challenge, it was Arm & Hammer Baking Soda that made me jump onboard.
In hindsight, I know this campaign has included a lot of posts, and you may be tempted to just skip right over this one as well. Hang on, though, because there will be a ton of useful information in this final stretch.
In many ways, Arm & Hammer Baking Soda is the ultimate green, frugal and simple product. You can use it in a variety of ways, from your kitchen to your bathroom, from the nursery to the laundry room. And at under $1 a box – a box that stretches and stretches and stretches – the price can’t be beat either.
To be honest, I’ve always known about the “power of baking soda”, but it’s only been in the past six months that I’ve become a true believer. I now use baking soda in place of deodorant (and even with, ahem, some hormonal issues, it does a better job day in and day out than my deodorant), in the trash can to absorb odor, in the bathroom to clean the shower, sinks and toilets, on bee stings and rashes, and – of course – for baking.
What really makes this a “wonder product” for intentional living, though, is that it’s also environmentally friendly. Not only is baking soda itself non-toxic and safe for kids, pets and the environment, but Arm & Hammer has been using recycled paperboard boxes since 1907, and they were the first corporate sponsor of Earth Day in 1970.
Throughout the next few weeks, we’ll be talking about the many uses for baking soda, and you’ll have the opportunity to submit your favorite uses for a chance to win Visa gift cards as well, so stay tuned for more!
