Summer vacation means heading to the beach for fun in the sun with the entire family for many people. From sports to the waves and from relaxing to playing in the sand, there are many reasons that you should hit the beach for your next summer vacation.

While heading out on a beach vacation with the family can be fun, packing for that same vacation can be challenging. You don’t want to forget anything. You also have to pack things for your kids to do on the way there as well, so they won’t drive you crazy–especially since you’ve decided that this beach vacation is going to be tech-lite, with very few electronic devices allowed. Luckily, in this blog, you can find a few tips for packing for your summer vacation that will take at least a little of the pre-vacation stress off of your shoulders.

Make a List, Check it Twice.

Before you pop those bikinis for women you ordered into your duffle bag, stop and think. Have you chosen the right luggage that can transform your travel experience and turn it into a game changer? With an array of stylish and functional options available in the market, you can easily find luggage that not only reflects your personal style but also takes care of your unique travel needs. Will you need one, 2, or maybe more suitcases for that vacation? Click here for a suitcase set of 2 and select the right one for you. Prioritizing factors like size, durability, and ergonomics will lead you to your perfect travel companion, one that keeps your possessions safe and snug while not hindering your movement. In order to make sure you pack everything you need, from clothes to toys and from prescriptions to sunglasses, make a list and check it off with each item you add to your suitcases. The best way to do this is by dividing everything into four lists.

  • Beach gear
  • Toiletries
  • Essentials
  • Clothing and accessories

Not only can writing lists and checking off the items as you pack, preventing you from forgetting something, it can also save you money by preventing you from having to buy something you left sitting on the bed at home.

Packing Clothing and Accessories

When it comes to packing clothing, you don’t want to go too bulky. Light, comfortable clothes will work better after a swim with the dog or a long day lying on the beach. Make sure to pack enough clothes for all of you, so that you don’t have to wash clothes at the hotel or beach house on your vacation, but keep it light. Things such as shorts, tank tops, sundresses, sandals, and flip flops are perfect for beach vacations, and they won’t weigh you down. Shorts, Tee-shirts, and maybe a pair of jeans works for the guys as well.

Accessories will include sunscreen, sunglasses, bug repellent, and hats–basically anything that you’ll need for a day on the beach or even for an evening walk on the pier under the moonlight later on. Also, don’t forget the cooler and some toys for fun in the sun as well.

Beach Gear

It’s also important to pack your beach gear as well if you don’t want to end up paying exorbitant prices for what you need. Things like water games, umbrellas, blankets, and towels are must-haves for any beachgoer. However, for heavier items, such as grills and such, you could check with your hotel to see if they offer these items to their guests. You never know, and it will save you from lugging those items with you on your beach vacation.

Toiletries and Other Essentials

Now that you have the clothing, accessories, and beach gear down, you need to make sure you don’t forget essentials and toiletries. Stuff like toothpaste, hairbrushes, and personal items can be bought at the beach, but why would you, if you already have it packed? Make sure to pack your credit cards, ID, and any medicines you need to take while on your trip as well.

These are just a few of the top tips out there to make packing for your beach vacation less stressful. Follow them, and you’ll be lying in the sun in no time at all.
